I started sewing as a young girl while sitting by my mother’s side. She wasn’t a quilter, but a seamstress. I was always aware of the quilts we had at the farm to keep us warm during the cold winters.
I first learned to embroider before learning to sew on a machine. Working my way through clothing and doll clothes I finally found my true passion with quilting. Shortly after I mastered templates, the rotary cutter came out. Best thing ever. Since then I have made countless quilts for my family, friends and charity. Over time I began designing some patterns for Timeless Treasures and also become a longarm quilter.
Currently I live in Austin Texas with my husband and have recently become an empty nester of two grown daughters. I have lived in several cities following my husband’s career, all while meeting quilters and making lifelong friends.
