About Me

I started sewing as a young girl while sitting by my mother’s side. She wasn’t a quilter, but a seamstress. I was always aware of the quilOsie_Farm - Copyts we had at the farm to keep us warm during the cold winters.

I first learned to embroider before learning to sew on a machine. Working my way through clotOsie_Farm - Copy (2)hing and doll clothes I finally found my true passion with quilting. Shortly after I mastered templates, the rotary cutter came out. Best thing ever. Since then I have made countless quilts for my family, friends and charity. Over time I began designing some patterns for Timeless Treasures and also become a longarm quilter.

Currently I live in Austin Texas with my husband and have recently become an empty nester of two grown daughters.  I have lived in several cities following my husband’s career, all while meeting quilters and making lifelong friends.

  4. Osie, what a wonderful website. What an awesome quilt designer and quilter you are. I’m so happy for you. And I’m so happy to know you and learn from you all the time. I would never have been able to get Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation quilts for children with cancer off the ground and running without you guiding me every step of the way. The Promise Circle Austin Chapter thanks you so much.

    • Rita,
Thank you very much. I love having this passion for quilting and being able to share it with others. Especially making quilts for kids in need. I enjoy helping you with the Jeff Gordon Children Foundation and knowing that the quilts are giving some comfort to the kids during that difficult time. Osie
